Troll Bridge Cellars was proud to be a part of the Orange County Food and Wine Celebration.
This two day event sponsored by the Rooster Foundation included a "Passport to Wine" on May 22nd with the "Passport to Chefs" May 23rd.   All was done to benefit under privileged children and families in Orange County, California.   Passport to Wines featured the sampling of premium, limited production, highly rated California wines paired with delicious hors d'oeuvres.  Passport to Chefs included a "black tie" dinner featuring culinary sensations from 18 of the leading Orange County Chefs & Restaurants.   Guests were served a gourmet five-course meal paired with fine wines, prepared tableside by one of our premier Orange County chefs. The evening also included musical entertainment and an extensive upscale auction, showcasing rare & exotic wines and featuring adventures throughout the world.

2007 Password is now at Mezzé Restaurant and Bar.
Troll Bridge Cellars' 2007 Password is now being served at Mezzé Restaurant and Bar in Oakland.  Thank you to Maurice and Solange for your support.  If you are ever hungry on Lakeshore you will not go wrong visiting the folks at Mezzé.  Just make sure you don't leave before dessert!  Solange makes them all daily and the Warm "Chocolate Croissant Bread Pudding" is a can't miss!

 

Monica Chappell from Wine Appreciation 101 recently tried 2007 Password and had the following comments:
"I tasted the wine with my husband this past week and really enjoyed it.  Like with food, you eat with your eyes first and I loved looking at the wine from the outside (the package) and from the inside (what was in the glass).

I thought the package was dynamite looking with its elegant label and substantial Bordeaux bottle. The wine had lots of extraction - deep dark inky color with lots of rich dark fruit aromas.  The wine was lush on the palate with hints of cherry, cassis and chocolate and had a nice finish.  I am partial to wines with velvety tannins and this wine has it in spades...YUM! It is a big wine and very full bodied. I think the alcohol was in check when I had it for dinner with a big juicy rib-eye steak.

I served the second bottle to a group of friends at a New Year's Eve party and the reviews were very positive...again...it's a big wine and great with food."
